Ashland University track and field head coach and four-time United States Olympian Jud Logan has passed away aged 62, Ashland University announced on Monday, January 3rd, 2022.
“Jud Logan personified our mission and vision at Ashland University,” School President, Dr. Carlos Campo said in a statement. “We promise a transformative experience for students, and Jud delivered that every day in his interactions with student-athletes.”
“His legacy at AU is extraordinary. Countless lives were touched for the better due to his unconquerable spirit and love for others. Our prayers are with the entire Logan family.”

“Most importantly, not only was he an outstanding coach/mentor to many, he was a great person. I was blessed to interact with him during outdoor seasons throughout my coaching career. I absolutely LOVED his passion and fire. It was contagious. We lost a legend today.”
