Mateo Hernandez Death: Futsal Player Mateo Hernandez dies Unexpectedly, aged 18
Futsal player Mateo Hernandez dies suddenly at age 18. The 18-year-old goalkeeper passed away on Tuesday, January 11.

He was born on October 5, 1998. He was an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Costa Rican club Guadalupe. He played on loan from Canadian club York United.

Hernández started his career with Argentine Primera División side Colon. He made his professional debut on 30 November 2018 under interim manager Esteban Fuertes. October 2020, he left. On October, 20, 2020, Hernández signed with Canadian Premier League team York United. On May, 12, 2021, he was loaned to Liga Dominicana de Fútbol until December 2021.

Hernandez was hospitalized In March 2020, following a trip to Paraguay. He was diagnosed with the lowest form of dengue fever.

Following the young player’s death all activities were to be suspended until Thursday, January 13 as a sign of respect to him as announced by the club.
