Melvin Palmer Death – Cause of Death: Thrybergh school community mourns the death of former Head of school, Melvin Palmer.
Mr. Palmer was a Thrybergh Student and, after finishing University, taught for over 30 years at Thrybergh School. His cause of death was not disclosed.
“Mr. Palmer was loved and respected as a consummate professional, charismatic, an exceptional teacher, leader and a warm and generous human being by his many friends and colleagues within Thrybergh’s community and beyond,” the school shared. His contribution to the educational and the community life of Thrybergh is entirely unique.
Family and everyone who knew Mr. Palmer are extremely sad and currently grieving his loss.
After leaving Thrybergh in 2014 Melvin became Course Leader and Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, where he continued to train the next generation of teachers.
“His legacy is unrivalled and his mark will be left on generations to come.”
“There will be a further, longer lasting tribute at a later stage and we give Melvin’s family our sincerest condolences,” the school shared.
