SEARCHING FOR PHILIP KREYCIK
During the past 4 days we have done an exhaustive search of the Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park for missing runner, Philip Kreycik.
On Saturday, about 11am, Philip came to the park to complete an 8 mile run. He parked his car at the Moller Trail staging area. Philip is an endurance athlete and is in top physical condition. He is also well versed on rural terrain and outdoor environments. Temperatures that day on the ridge were about 106 degrees but were not a deterrent for Phillip who thrives in extreme environments.
When Phillip did not arrive at the scheduled time to meet his family, they immediately notified the Pleasanton Police Department who called in local resources to search the ridge for Phillip.
Over the last four days, we have deployed over 100 search and rescue professionals on the ridge to search for Phillip. We have used dogs, drones, helicopters and an airplane with advanced thermal imagery. Hundreds of volunteers have also assisted. We are saddened that our efforts thus far have not located him yet. We remain hopeful but the lack of results are frustrating to all of us on this mission.
We will continue to search but with each passing day a positive outcome becomes harder. We are asking the community to report any information to the Pleasanton Police Department.
The Kreycik Family has asked us to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to the Pleasanton Community, law enforcement, search and rescue and all the volunteers.
