Randall Smith Death: Randall Smith was identified as the victim in Wednesday Minneapolis shooting.

Randall Smith was a manager at a Minneapolis restaurant, All Square (A nonprofit civil rights social enterprise centered on a craft grilled cheese restaurant and professional institute).

“Our brother, Randall Smith, was tragically murdered on Wednesday night—his life snatched from us and the thousands of friends, family members, fellows, partners, and customers that loved him; that will love him, always,” All Square shared on Friday. “For us, this loss feels insurmountable and impossible to grasp. There is not one inch of All Square’s present and future that hasn’t been informed and impacted by Randall. His energy and belief in our work has seen us through the darkest chapters.”

“Randall not only believed in the mission of All Square, he inspired me and so many others to think differently and take action. His legacy truly will live on.”

According to Minneapolis police department, officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots on the 1200 block of South 7th Street at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday.

Upon officers arrival, an adult male was found with apparent gunshot wounds. He was treated on the scene before been taken to a hospital where succumbed to his injuries.

The victim was not identified as at the time of report.
