Susan John Death – Cause of Death: Former Assemblywoman Susan John, who served for 20 years in office in Rochester has passed away. She was 64 years old.
Susan John who was known as champion for women and children in the New York State Assembly died in Florida on Monday, after a courageous battle with cancer.
As a Democrat, she represented the 131st district from January 1, 1991, to December 31, 2010. She was succeeded by Harry Bronson, a fellow Democrat.
“Susan John was a friend and mentor who I will miss dearly. She was a trailblazer in the New York State Assembly fighting for children, women and workers,” John’s successor, Harry Bronson tweeted. “Our Rochester community is better because of Susan’s dedication and care for all of our families.”
