Air Force Institute of Technology Nigerian Air Force (AFIT) has finally open doors for application to  qualified students / candidates for the 2019/2020  academic session, 1st or second choice candidates who seek for Air Force Institute of Technology Nigerian Air Force (AFIT)  Admission 2019/2020 should see requirements, Application Process and be Ready for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.


AFIT Post UTME Admission Form

Admissions into NUC accredited First Degree  and NBTE accredited National Diploma (ND) programmes offered in the Institute are open to the general public. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following programmes for the 2019/2020 Academic Session.

AFIT Post UTME Eligibility, Courses and Requirements.

Candidates seeking admission into AFIT’s 100 level undergraduate degree and diploma programmes are required to write JAMB UTME examination and AFIT Post-UTME and obtain the minimum departmental cut off mark. All o’level requirements must be obtained in not more than two sittings. Those intending to pursue 200 level undergraduate degree programmes will be offered direct entry admission if they meet entry requirements.

Entry requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered in AFIT are as detailed below:

No Direct Entry Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject from Agricultural Science, Applied Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Biology, Building Construction, Chemistry, Electronics, Further Mathematics, Geography, Metalwork, Physics and Technical Drawing. Mathematics, Physics and any other subject from Biology, Chemistry, Geography or Agriculture
  • B.Sc. Cyber Security
Two (2) A Level passes in science subjects including Mathematics and any of Chemistry or Physics.
  • B.Sc. Chemistry
No Direct Entry Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject from Agricultural Science, Applied Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Biology, Building Construction, Chemistry, Electronics, Further Mathematics, Geography, Metalwork, Physics and Technical Drawing. Chemistry
and any two (2) other subjects from Physics, Biology, Mathematics, Geography, Agriculture
  • B.Eng. Aerospace Engineering
  • B.Eng. Mechanical Engineering
  • B.Eng. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • B.Eng. Civil Engineering
  • B.Eng. Information and Communication Technology
  • A Level passes in Physics and Mathematics.
  • ND Upper Credit, HND Lower Credit in relevant disciplines.
Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject from Agricultural Science, Applied Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Biology, Building Construction, Chemistry, Electronics, Further Mathematics, Geography, Metalwork, Physics and Technical Drawing.   • B.Eng. Automotive
  • Engineering
  • B.Eng. Mechatronics Engineering
  • B.Eng. Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
  • B.Eng. Telecommunications Engineering
No Direct Entry
  • B.Sc. Accounting
  • B.Sc. Business Administration
  • B.Sc. Economics
  • B.Sc. Marketing
  • B.Sc. Banking and Finance
  • Two (2) A level passes including Economics, Principles of Accounting and Management
  • ND/HND upper credit at in relevant disciplines
Mathematics, English Economics and any other two (2) subjects from Principles of Accounting Cost, Business Method, Commerce, Geography, Statistics, Government, Office Practice Secretarial duties, Financial Accounting Mathematics, Economics any other subject
  • B.Sc. International Relations
No Direct Entry Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Government or History and any other (3) other subjects Government or History and any two (2) of Economics, Geography, Civic Education, French, Arabic, Islamic Studies and Christian Religious Studies.
  • ND Civil Engineering Technology
  • ND Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology
  • ND Explosive Ordinance Technology

No Direct Entry Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject from Agricultural Science, Applied Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Biology, Building Construction, Chemistry, Electronics, Further Mathematics, Geography, Metalwork, Physics and Technical Drawing. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
  • ND Business Administration & Management
No Direct Entry Mathematics, English, Economics and any other two (2) subjects from Principles of Cost Accounting, Business Method, Commerce, Geography, Statistics, Government, Office Practice Secretarial duties, Financial Accounting Mathematics, Economics any other social Science subject

AFIT Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programme in Aerospace Engineering.

Minimum of Third Class in Engineering, Material Sciences or Physics or HND with a minimum of lower credit in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/|Electronic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Material Science Engineering.

AFIT Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

A minimum grade of B.Sc degree with Third Class Honours or HND with a minimum of lower credit in Purchasing & Supply and other related fields.

AFIT Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

A minimum of Third Class in first Degree or HND with a minimum of lower credit in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and other related fields.

AFIT Masters Programme in Aerospace Engineering

A minimum of Second Class Honours in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/|Electronics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering and Material Science Engineering or Physics.

Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology,  Aircraft Engineering Technology (Airframe and Power Plant Option), Aircraft Engineering Technology (Avionics Option), Mechanical Engineering Technology (Power and Plant Option), Mechanical Engineering Technology (Manufacturing)

(1)    ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50 and above) in the relevant field from recognized Polytechnics.

(2)     A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.

(3)    Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any   other  subject from Agricultural Science,  Applied Electricity,  Auto Mechanics, Biology, Building Construction, Chemistry, Electronics, Further Mathematics, Geography, Metalwork,  Physics and Technical Drawing.

AFIT Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes in Purchasing and Supply

(1)   ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50 and above) in Business Administration and Management from recognized Polytechnics.

(2)   A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.

(3)    O’level credits to include Government or History and any two (2) of Economics, Geography, Civic Education, French, Arabic, Islamic Studies and Christian Religious Studies.

(4)   Evidence of compulsory Industrial Training (IT) or attachment in a reputable Health Institution.

Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) Programmes in Aircraft Engineering Technology and Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology

(1)   ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Material Science Engineering

(2)   A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.

Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) Programme in Purchasing and Supply

(1)   ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50) in any relevant field obtained from recognized polytechnics.

(2)    A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.
