Anthony Carrio, former member of the Roxburgh Park Football and Netball Club has reportedly passed away following his involvement in a fatal motorcycle accident yesterday evening.
Mourning his passing, well-known sports event organisers, Keep It Reet, shared a tribute post on their official Facebook page. It reads, “This past weekend we lost one of the most kind-hearted, fun, and charismatic members of our family, which we call the drift community, Anthony Carrio.”
“We had the privilege of seeing Anthony come into the drift scene for his first drift day, progress into competitions, and in his first year even get himself a podium.” One thing that always stood out to us at our events is that Anthony really upheld the Keep It Reet way and would drive with anyone regardless of who or what they knew. It didn’t matter to him; he just wanted to have fun with his mates.”
“Anthony was the kind of guy that no matter how tough things got on a drift day, whether he lost a wheel or his car was bent beyond driveable, he always kept a smile on his face. Our community was really blessed to have you and you will be greatly missed,” the post concluded.
