Dewey Lewis Obituary – Death: Pedestrian Killed in a Hit-and-Run Accident: In Floyd County, a pedestrian was hit and killed, prompting an investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
The Kentucky State Police have reported that a crash occurred at approximately 11:03 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023, along Kentucky Route 114 in the Prestonsburg vicinity. According to troopers, a pedestrian was reportedly struck by a vehicle while walking into its path along the road.
According to KSP troopers, a pedestrian identified as Dewey Lewis, 36, of Prestonsburg, was declared dead at the scene by the Floyd County Coroner’s Office.
An accident reconstructionist from KSP is currently investigating the crash. In response to an incident, KSP Post 9, the Prestonsburg Police Department, the Middle Creek Volunteer Fire Department, and Lifeguard Ambulance Service were summoned to the location.
