Neal Adams Death: Neal Adams was born on 15 June 1941. He died at the age of 80. His son Josh Adams said, “Neal Adams’ most undeniable quality was the one I had known about him my entire life: He was a father. Not just my father, but a father to all that would get to know him.”

The artist began working for Archie Comics after graduating from high school in 1959. During the 1960s, he also worked on Ben Casey, a daily comic strip based on the same-named medical drama series. 

Adams was actively involved in the business during the 1970s, attempting to unionize its creative community. Adams aided in the formation of the Comic Creators Guide in 1978, which included over three dozen comic-book authors all illustrators.

After failing to find freelance work at DC Comics after graduation in 1959, he turned to Archie Comics, where he hoped to work on the publisher’s nascent superhero line, which was edited by Joe Simon.

Adams died of sepsis complications in New York on Thursday, 28th April 2022, according to his wife, Marilyn Adams of the Hollywood Reporter. 

His toned and sinewy take on heroes shook the world of comic books in the late 1960s and early 1970s, first at DC with a character named Deadman, then at Marvel with X-Men and The Avengers, and finally with Batman, his most lasting influence.
