Patricia L. Nostrand Death, Obituary – Cause Of Death

Pat Nostrand died April 28, 2022, one week shy of her 97th birthday, at the Actors Fund Home in Englewood. Wife of the late G. Lott Nostrand, mother of Linda Krain (and her husband, Jon Krain) of California; and Tim Nostrand (and his wife, Lisa Nostrand) of Teaneck; grandmother of Ethan Lott Krain, Molly Clark (nee Krain) and Emma Nostrand, and also “Nanny” to Elizabeth Curtis and Whitney Reeds. She was a great-grandmother of four.

She volunteered at Englewood Hospital for 40 years, once chairing its volunteer services committee. She would also, with piano accompaniment, sing show tunes to patients, families and staffers at the hospital. Born on May 6, 1925 in Philadelphia, she was the only child of William Lott and Helyn Lott (nee Morrison), both deceased. Her paternal lineage dated to the Dutch settlers of Brooklyn, and her mother was first-generation American of Scottish descent. She was 1943 graduate of Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn, where she grew up.

The family moved to Tenafly in 1961. Pat Nostrand was a congregant at the Presbyterian Church at Tenafly and had been a member of Knickerbocker Country Club. Visitation will occur June 22, at Barrett’s Funeral Home in Tenafly, from 2 pm to 4 pm, and from 7 pm to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held at The Presbyterian Church at Tenafly on June 23 at 11 a.m. followed by a private family interment in Brooklyn.
