Rob Van Dyk Death – Obituary: In Loving Memory of Rob Van Dyk; According to an online obituary on Monday, May 16, 2023, Rob Van Dyk has passed away unexpectedly. However, cause of death was not disclosed.
It is with great sadness that we pass of the news of the sudden passing of Rob Van Dyk. The Clovelly Crocodiles JRLFC Inc have lost a long-serving trainer, friend, and great club man after a hard-fought battle with mental illness.
He was the father to sons Dylan (former Crocs player), Darcy (currently playing U13’s), and daughters Mikayla and Sky.
Rob was a strong advocate for mental health, both as a person openly dealing with this illness, and more importantly, as a man increasing awareness of this often-silent killer, in a passionate effort to help others.
Rob’s family have passed on the funeral details: Thursday 18th May at 1pm – Eastern Suburbs Crematorium (South Chapel).
Rob’s passing should be seen by all as a catalyst for rallying to improve mental health services and supporting those suffering from mental illness (and their families), in the months and years ahead. If you or anyone you know is struggling with mental heath call Lifeline on 131114.
