Vicky White Missing: Vicky White, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office’s deputy director of prisons, said she was escorting inmate Casey White to the county courts for a mental health evaluation.
The police and the detainee, who are not related, did not show up at the courthouse. Casey White had no assessment or hearing scheduled for that day, according to investigators.
Authorities considered a variety of scenarios over the weekend, including whether Vicky White was kidnapped by the inmate or assisted him in fleeing, either under duress or of her own free will, Singleton told CNN.
Officials searched the area where the patrol vehicle was recovered on Saturday for video security footage but found no evidence that the two men were getting into another car, according to the sheriff.
The sheriff’s office is following up on information that could lead to the identification of the vehicle in which the two were left, but “nothing is confirmed at this time,” according to Singleton.
Vicky White, an Alabama prison officer, has vanished after accompanying convict Casey White to a court hearing.
On Friday morning, Vicky White, the assistant director of corrections for Lauderdale County, escorted Casey White, the inmate, from the jail, claiming she was transferring him to the county courts.
Casey White was serving a 75-year sentence for a series of crimes in 2015, including a home invasion, carjacking, and police pursuit, according to the US Marshals Service. He was charged with two counts of capital murder in the stabbing death of 58-year-old Connie Ridgeway in 2015.
According to Chris Connolly, the District Attorney for Lauderdale County, he acknowledged to the murder in 2020 before pleading not guilty. For his trial, White was being kept at the detention center.
The two haven’t been seen since, and the US Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the inmate and the location of the officer.

Based on her current profile, Officer Vicky White’s age is estimated to be around 40 years old.
Meanwhile, the culprit is still on the loose. Casey White is 38 years old, standing 6 feet 9 inches tall and weighing roughly 260 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair, according to the Marshals Service.
