Jacob Brown Canton, Ohio Car Accident: Canton Central Catholic High School Junior Identified As Victim In Tragic Maumee Car Accident.

The victim of the fatal road traffic collision that happened on US 24 in Maumee on Sunday night is now identified as 16-year-old Jacob Brown, a junior at Canton Central Catholic High School in Stark County.

According to the Maumee Police Department, the accident happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. on U.S. 24 between Key Street and White Street on Sunday.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

“Our community is very sad to have to share the news of the loss of Jacob,” Principal David Oates said in a statement. “Central Catholic is a small, close-knit community and his loss will be felt deeply by our Crusader family.”

“Students, staff and our families have been informed of his passing. We have our guidance counselors, campus minister, and President Father Donald King on hand to talk and pray with any student, staff member or family member who needs them. Please keep Jacob and his family in your prayers.”
