Herman Neal IV Obituary: Welches man killed in car-pedestrian collision in Clackamas County.
At at 11:20 p.m. on October 17, 2022, Oregon State Police troopers and emergency workers responded to a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Highway 26 close to milepost 32.
According to an early inquiry, Herman Neal IV, 32, of Welches was struck by an eastbound white Volvo commercial vehicle driven by Edgar Clark Jr., 62, of Troutdale when he was in the eastbound lane. Neal’s presence in the road is unknown.
Neal IV was diagnosed with fatal injuries and given the prognosis of death.
During the approximately 4-hour investigation period, Hwy 26 was impacted by the OSP Collision Reconstruction Unit.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office and ODOT provided assistance to OSP.
