Joshua Skattum Car Accident – Obituary: In loving memory of Tucson man killed in “tragic” crash.

Joshua was a force to be reckoned with, a very bright ray of sunshine in an often dark world. His personality and smile always brought joy to those around him.

29-year-old Joshua Robert John Skattum of Tuscon, AZ, was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Tucson on Tuesday, October 18.

Officers from Operations Division East and members of the Tucson Fire Department were sent to North Wilmot Road and East Grant Road at 6:23 p.m. in response to a report of a collision between a 2018 Subaru Impreza and a 2009 BMW 335i, according to the Tucson Police Department.

The Subaru’s driver, later named as Skattum, was reportedly taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with serious injuries before being declared dead, according to police.

Joshua was a zookeeper at the El Paso Zoo for 2 years. This passion continued as he relocated to Reid’s Park Zoo in Tucson, Arizona in 2018 as he pursued his wildlife career as a zookeeper while also jumping into the Community Science Desert Wildlife Program for the Coalition as a Pima County Master Naturalist (PCMN), his obituary read.
