Stacy Rush and Eric Stampfli Obituary – Death: Victims identified in Joplin attempted double murder-suicide.
The victims of a double murder in Joplin on Monday night are now identified as Stacy Rush of Joplin, MO, and Eric Stampfli of Grove, OK, both 35-year-old.
The suspect in the incident suffers self-inflicted gunshot wound, and remains in critical condition, authorities said.
On Monday night, October 31, 2022 Joplin Police responded to an unknown trouble in the 2200 block of Annie Baxter. Upon officers arrival at the scene, they located two deceased adults inside the residence, authorities said.
A 9-year-old boy was also present, and he was safe. The juvenile was not involved with what took place and was uninjured, police said.
Investigations are ongoing.
