American actor and mixed martial artist, Jason David Frank who was most notable for his career as Tommy Oliver from the Power Rangers franchise, has died at the age of 49.
Jason’s death was confirmed by reality Star friend and trainer, Mike Bronzoulis.
The actor and mixed martial artist died in Texas, according to his rep Justine Hunt. Sources with direct knowledge tell us his death was the result of suicide, TMZ reported.
Frank was cast in the role of Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger. The role was set for 14 episodes. Due to the popularity of the character, he was brought back as the White Ranger and the new leader of the team. He also had a successful MMA career at 5-0.
JDF was 4-0 as an amateur, and 1-0 as a professional in mixed martial arts.
Last year, Jason David Frank lost his daughter Shayla. As of July 1st, 2022, Jason David Frank’s wife, Tammy filed for divorce.
