Esmae Doucette Obituary News – Cause of Death: In loving memory of Jackson woman Esmae Doucette.
Esmae was light, love, laughter, and joy. She was sunshine on a cloudy day.
At approximately 7:24 PM on November 30, 2022, Jackson Police were dispatched to a reported gunshot injury at the Dana Place Apartments on Route 16. Upon arrival they found 23-year-old Esmae Doucette of Jackson, NH, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Ms. Doucette was transported to Memorial Hospital in North Conway where lifesaving measures were attempted; however, she eventually succumbed to the gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased on December 2, 2022.
Attorney General John M. Formella, State Police Colonel Nathan Noyes, and Jackson Police Chief Christopher C. Perley announce that Brandon Mitchell, age 22, of Jackson, New Hampshire, has been arrested for the murder of Esmae Doucette.
Statement from the family of Esmae Doucette
We are devastated by the sudden and shocking death of our radiant daughter and sister. It is an unfathomable loss of a young woman full of warmth and generosity. Esmae had an enthusiastic zest for life and an infectious laugh and was a friend to all who knew her.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to the first responders, police, doctors, nurses, Memorial Hospital staff and New England Donor Services for their incredible care and empathy during our darkest hours.
We thank our community of Jackson and the greater Mount Washington Valley for wrapping us in love and caring for our girl so well.
