He became the 13th Pakistani bowler to join an exclusive group with his five wickets in his first Test, making him a member.
Abrar became just the second bowler to ever take five wickets in an international Test match before midday on the first day of his Test debut. Alf Valentine, a left-arm spinner for the Windies, was the first player to take five wickets before lunch on his Test debut on June 8, 1950 in Manchester. Abrar Ahmed took five wickets before noon in his first Test match against England at Multan, over 72 years later. With seven wickets for 114 runs, he has seven for the day.
