Tom Browning Obituary – Cause of Death: Former Cincinnati Reds pitcher Tom Browning found dead at Boone County home.
Former Reds pitcher, 62-year-old Tom Browning, who pitched a perfect game in 1988, died on Monday, December 19, 2022.
According to the Boone County’s Sheriff’s office, deputies responded to Browning’s home in Union, around 1 p.m. and found him unresponsive on a couch inside the home.
Life saving measures was performed by deputies and E.M.S. personnel, but Browning was pronounced dead at approximately 1:13 p.m.
No foul play is suspected, authorities said.
Browning was drafted by the Reds in 1982 and made his Major League debut on Sept. 9, 1984. He pitched for the Reds until 1994, and pitched two games for the Kansas City Royals in 1995.
