Chris Ford died on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at a Philadelphia hospital after suffering a heart attack earlier this month. He was 74.
Ford is recognized as the most accomplished athlete to ever be born and raised in Atlantic City.
The beginning of Chris Ford’s basketball career was at St. Michael’s Dante Hall in Atlantic City’s Ducktown neighborhood. After that, the Holy Spirit High School alum went on to make NBA history.
