Phil Spalding Death – Obituary: Bass Guitarist, Phil Spalding Dies Unexpectedly: According to an online obituary on Monday, February 6, 2023, Phil Spalding has passed away unexpectedly. However, cause of death was not disclosed.
Mourning his passing, Nigel Glockler wrote;
“I had a call this morning from Joel Bogen, informing me that our bandmate from Toyah and dear friend Phil Spalding had unexpectedly passed away.
I played with Phil not just with Toyah but also with Bernie Torme and GTR. Phil was without a doubt one of the finest musicians I have ever played with, but more importantly a wonderful person and friend; I am still trying to process this news.
We kept in touch and met up as often as we could. I’ve attached a few pictures of us over the years, including one from several years ago when we met up with Joel and Adrian.
Sending all of my love to his wife Helen, children, family and friends everywhere.
