Susana Morales Obituary – Cause of Death: Missing teen identified as human remains found in Gwinnett County.
According to Gwinnett County authorities, the remains discovered on Monday night close to a creek bed belong to a missing 16-year-old girl.
On July 26, at 9:40 p.m., Susana Morales texted her mother; she was not heard from again.
Family members last saw her leaving her Norcross home on Santa Anna Drive to go to a friend’s house around 6 o’clock.
She was later captured on camera and in cell picture data strolling on Oak Loch Trace near Steve Reynolds Boulevard in Gwinnett County between 10:07 and 10:21 p.m. Police suspect that she may have gotten into a car at some point.
According to the police, until it was turned off, her phone showed that she was still at the same location. The most recent information request from police was made in late January.
More than 20 miles away, off Drowning Creek Road, close to the Barrow County line, her bones were discovered on Wednesday. The potential remains on the side of the road were discovered by a passerby, who reported them.
