Barry Sacks Obituary – Cause of Death: Quinnipiac University professor & longtime ESPN producer Barry Sacks dies at 63.

Sunday, Barry Sacks, who used to be a producer at ESPN and a part-time professor at Quinnipiac University, died. He was 63. Barry had been in a hospital following a heart attack.

Colleagues remember Sacks as a talented TV producer who helped run some of ESPN’s most famous shows and taught a lot of young production assistants. Sacks joined ESPN in 1986.

In a TV report about Sacks’ death, ESPN host Suzy Kolber said, “During his 33-year career at Bristol, Barry worked in so many different parts of the company.” “He loved sports more than anyone else, and the New York Giants were his favorite team.”

At the time of his death, Sacks was a part-time professor at Quinnipiac’s School of Communications, where he had taught graduate and undergraduate students sports production and broadcasting courses since 2015.
