Janae Edmondson Car Accident: Smyrna teen looses both legs following St. Louis crash.
On Saturday night, a 16-year-old girl was hit by a car. She has serious injuries that could kill her. The thing happened at America’s Center, which is in the middle of St. Louis. Janae Edmondson, a teen from Tennessee, came to town to play volleyball. While she was there, her life was changed by a terrible accident.
The assistant director of the Middle Tennessee Volleyball Club, Jeff Wismer, says that Janae Edmondson was seriously hurt on her way back to her hotel in St. Louis with her family on Saturday night. When Edmondson joined her 18-Blue team, she had just promised to play volleyball in college.
Reports say that Edmondson was hit around 8:40 pm on Saturday, February 18. The gray Audi Q5 hit a second car, a Chevy Malibu. The St. Louis Police say that the gray Audi Q5 ran over a give-way sign at the intersection. Edmondson was stuck between the Malibu and a parked car when it blew up and hit her. The teenager was hurt so badly that both of her legs had to be cut off. This completely changed her life.
