The two-vehicle collision on Tuesday night near Mandeville on the Winston Jones Highway claimed the life of a third person. The collision injured eleven people.
Police have not yet disclosed the names of individuals killed in the collision, which included two cabs.
According to early accounts, a Toyota Wish and a Toyota Probox cab were on the highway when they crashed just before 9:00 p.m.
The Toyota Wish flipped over as a result of the collision’s impact. The car’s occupants were hurled from it in large numbers.
Passing drivers, as well as the police, hurried the injured persons to the hospital.
The hospital declared two patients dead when they arrived. A third person passed away while receiving medical attention. Up until late Tuesday night, eleven people were admitted.
