Celie Ulm Obituary News: Beloved Ascension Episcopal School volleyball coach dies following battle with cancer.
Celie LeBlanc Ulm, 34, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 in Delcambre, LA, following a courageous battle with an aggressive cancer.
Ascension Episcopal School announced coach Celie’s passing via a statement shared on Facebook.
“It is with deep sorrow that we grieve the passing of our dear friend, colleague, and coach Celie LeBlanc Ulm,” the statement read.
“A strong, faith-filled battle against an aggressive cancer was a testament of Celie living out who she always was – a courageous daughter of our Lord. We know she leaves behind a legacy of faith, hope, and love after touching the lives of so many at our school and beyond. We could not be more grateful for the time we were granted with her at Ascension and know there will be heavy hearts from this day forward.”
Celie was a lifelong resident of Delcambre. She was a 2006 Delcambre High School graduate and a 2010 UL graduate. Celie was a high school volleyball coach and teacher who passionately empowered and mentored young men and women. Her coaching career began at North Vermilion High School then Acadiana High School and she was currently coaching at Ascension Episcopal School.
