After watching the Leafs defeat the Flames with his best friend Marty, Mike passed away peacefully while traveling home to his beloved Alexa. It was a wonderful evening that ended tragically.
Mike will be sorely missed, and that is an understatement. Anyone Michael came in contact with was affected by his dry wit, tender heart, and sincere kindness. He worked, played, and loved unconditionally to the fullest. He was proficient in everything. Most people are aware of Mike’s strong rivalry with his brother Andrew in golf. In addition to being quick with his jabs, he was also quick to slink behind the bigger men in the crowd. Mike was a really wise man. He always had a smile on his face, was upbeat even in the most trying circumstances, and always showed sympathy for others.
He was all any of us could have ever wanted in a buddy, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, son, or grandchild.
Please never take another day for granted and always be grateful for the unique individuals in your life, in Mike’s memory.
