On the 71 Freeway in Chino Hills early on Sunday morning, a wrong-way collision involving many automobiles claimed the lives of four persons.
The California Highway Patrol’s traffic log indicates that the collision took place in the southbound lanes close to Chino Hills Parkway at roughly 2:30 a.m. As the police arrived, at least one car was entirely engulfed in flames.
One of the first people on the site was a CHP sergeant, who made an effort to save the people inside the flaming car.
At least four cars were involved in the incident. It seems like two of them contained the victims. They have all gone unidentified.
According to the officials, the collision happened when a white car heading north in the southbound HOV lane struck a black car head-on. After the collision, the car being driven the incorrect way caught fire. Nobody in that car made it out alive.
With minor wounds, one more individual was carried to the hospital.
