Two high school kids from Illinois who were in Colorado for Spring Break reportedly died after breaking into a snowboarding area and sliding down a halfpipe.
According to the authorities, at around 8.35 p.m. on Sunday, Dylan Bazzell and Drew Fehr rode together down the halfpipe at Copper Mountain Ski Resort.
The buddies landed hard on the ice below after launching off a sizable snowbank at the bottom, suffering blunt force injuries.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived on the scene right away and attempted CPR on the two top athletes, ages 17 and 18, but they were declared dead at the site.
