Robert Oliver Motorcycle Accident: In loving memory of Louisville Metro Police Officer Robert Oliver.
Robert Oliver, a Louisville Metro Police Officer died from injuries he received in a motorcycle accident, an online obituary announced on Thursday, March 30, 2023.
Officer Robert Oliver was hired by the Jeffersonville Police Department in June of 1996 and lateralled to the Louisville Metro Police Department in February of 2005. During his tenure at JPD, “Rob O” rose to the rank of Corporal while leading our Bike Patrol Unit and was a member of the JPD SWAT Team.
Rob always loved and served our community, which was deeply rooted through growing up in Jeffersonville and graduating from Jeffersonville High School. As recent as last month, he was still involved in training our Honor Guard members and could be seen occasionally attending local youth events. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Oliver family, as well as, the Louisville Metro Police Department. He will be deeply missed.
