Raegan Revord can currently be seen on the smash hit CBS comedy Young Sheldon, where she plays fan favorite “Missy Cooper,” the sassy and brash twin sister to Sheldon.
Raegan Revord remembers pleading with her father to pick her up after Young Sheldon filming in a panicked manner just hours after she and her mother were involved in a car accident in which they were t-boned by another driver.
The 15-year-old actress described in gruesome detail some of the PTSD episodes she experienced in the hours following the car accident, the severe panic attack that she desperately needed her father to treat, and how the cast and crew supported her as she dealt with the traumatic experience.
This is the first time Revord has given an explanation for why the show that aired that night was so difficult, though she did do so on Thursday on Instagram. She spent the most of the episode recording in a car, but she didn’t find comfort in the fact that she wasn’t actually driving.
In some ways, the act of getting back into a car so quickly after the collision was cathartic. Mckenna Grace, who also starred in the episode, stood by her side both during and after production. As when Revord recalls having a full-blown panic attack and balling her eyes out while in her trailer after filming the show, and Grace was there holding her hand.
