An inquiry is ongoing after a driver from Macomb County lost control of his vehicle and killed two drivers—an EMS driver and a driver engaged in another collision.
The deadly event occurred on I-75 close to Caniff Road about 2:15 on Sunday, according to Michigan State Police. Officials claim that an EMS driver assisted a 36-year-old Oak Park woman who was hurt in a single-car collision.
The Oak Park woman was hit by a car driven by a 58-year-old Washington man from Washington while the EMS driver, 38, was in the middle of aiding the victim. According to authorities, the woman was declared deceased at the site, and the EMS driver was taken to a hospital in Metro Detroit where he was also declared dead.
