Julie Johannessen Cause of Death Tarrant County: TCU Rifle shooter Julie Johannessen dies suddenly at 21.
TCU Rifle star Julie Johannessen, who helped lead TCU to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championships in her freshman season, passed away on Sunday at the age of 21, the school announced on Wednesday.
Her cause of death was not mentioned.
Johannessen, a native of Fredrikstad, Norway joined TCU and became a member of the Horned Frogs prestigious Rifle program.
When TCU shot versus Navy to open the 2022–23 season, Johannessen rapidly established herself as a prominent member of the rifle community. Together, they helped TCU set an NCAA record for the highest aggregate team score (4758).
Only the fifth Horned Frog in history, Johannessen shot her maiden air rifle perfect score of 600 in January against UTEP.
