Longtime broadcaster since 1978, Connecticut radio legend, Floyd Wright, passed away early Sunday morning, April 30, an online obituary announced.
“Friendly” is a radio legend, and he will be missed in many ways.
His cause of death was not mentioned.
“The Archdiocese of Hartford sends its prayerful condolences to the family and friends of Floyd Wright, legendary Connecticut disc jockey, who passed away yesterday. “Friendly Floyd,” pictured here in 2019 with Fr. John Gatzak, had been part of the WJMJ Radio family since 2014, serving as the weekday afternoon drive host. May he rest in peace,” The Archdiocese of Hartford wrote in a tribute post shared via Facebook.
