Car Accident Caulfield: Driver’s neglect leads to horrific Melbourne crash that killed two.
Two persons were died overnight in a horrific crash in Melbourne’s south-east, according to police, who suspect speed and disobeying a traffic sign were factors.
A silver Honda was allegedly struck by a black BMW that was speeding past the intersection of North and Thomas roads in Caulfield South at about 10:45 last night.
The Honda rolled as a result of the collision, and both of its occupants, a man and a woman, died there and then.
Both the driver and passenger of the BMW, both men in their 20s, suffered significant injuries in the collision and were brought to The Alfred hospital.
A thorough examination into the incident’s circumstances is currently under progress. According to Detective Sergeant Richard Wood, “speed and disobeying a traffic signal were contributing factors.”
North Road was shut down for 12 hours, and it wasn’t until this morning that it was reopened.
Anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam video is asked to get in touch with Crime Stoppers.
