Escondido Motorcycle Accident: Man dies following collision with light pole in Escondido.
Authorities reported that a man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding left the path of travel in Escondido and collided with a light pole.
According to the Escondido Police Department, the single-vehicle collision was first noticed around 10 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of North Escondido Boulevard, just north of Washington Avenue.
Arriving cops discovered the man to be unresponsive and started CPR, according to the police.
Police said the man was taken by paramedics to a hospital where doctors declared him dead. His name wasn’t made public until his relatives had been informed.
Police said it was unclear at the time of the incident if speed or alcohol played a role.
