Members of a hunting outfitter boat discovered Rubye Blake, 33, in Uganik Bay, according to Alaska State Troopers. The 40-foot-long fishing vessel F/V Enchantress was anchored offshore in a secluded part of the bay, according to the authorities.
The report was received, according to authorities, at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Friday when crew members “returned to the vessel later in the day.” According to the police, Blake’s body was found around 100 yards from the boat, close to the beach.
Blake was the only adult on the boat when it sank, so Kodiak troopers who arrived to investigate the scene decided there was no evidence of foul play at the moment.
