At approximately 12:22 pm, Unified Police officers responded to a report and arrived at the scene where they discovered that the Murray man had already passed away. Big Cottonwood Canyon’s Outer Corner has gained immense popularity as a rock formation among visitors.
In a statement, the Unified Police officers conveyed their sorrow regarding the passing of Ephraim Cook. The family and friends of Ephraim Cook have received condolences from various sources. According to the lead responding agency, Unified Police, the statement should be read.
Sgt. Melody Cutler from the Unified Police Department reported that a call was received at approximately 12:22 pm on Wednesday.
According to Cutler, Cook’s girlfriend was heard shouting for assistance. Teams from UPD, Salt Lake County Search and Rescue, and the Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter were called to respond to the report.
