The Good Counsel community mourns the loss of one of their all time greats, Hall of Fame member, Akeem Hebron ‘06 who died on June 9, 2023 unexpectedly.
Akeem Hebron was a remarkable individual who inspired people both on and off the football field. His sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him, and the football community is mourning his loss. Despite his untimely death, Akeem’s legacy will endure.
He will be remembered as an exceptional GC football player , a caring friend, and a loving family member. As we take a moment to celebrate Akeem’s life, we are reminded of the importance of cherishing our loved ones and living life to the fullest. Rest in peace, Akeem Hebron.
Akeem Hebron was born on August 23, 1988, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Akeem Hebron was a talented GC football player who made a name for himself at The Good Counsel High School. He was inducted into the school’s football Hall of Fame in 2017, and for good reason.
Akeem played football at Georgia University after high school and pursued a career in the NFL. He was a promising prospect and dreamt of playing in the league. Unfortunately, an injury prevented him from reaching that goal. Despite this setback, Akeem remained a significant figure in the football world and continued to inspire many.
