Following a horrific automobile accident close to Canberra, Richmond FC premiership player Bachar Houli is thought to have shattered his pelvis and suffered several fractures.
When their truck overturned when Houli and a companion were out camping, both men suffered serious injuries.
He was flown back to Victoria for more care after being taken to a nearby hospital in Canberra.
He is currently regaining health in the hospital and his status is stable.
Bachar Houli is a former Australian rules footballer who played 232 games over a 15-year career with Richmond and Essendon in the Australian Football League. He is a three-time premiership player with Richmond and was named an All-Australian half-back during his 2019 premiership winning season.
