Kenneth Speers Death – Obituary: In a tragic incident on Highway 3, a 35-year-old Port Orchard resident lost their life in a collision on Sunday. The suspected cause of the accident was a 34-year-old Mason County man who has been arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide.
In a recent incident, Kenneth Speers from Port Orchard was involved in a collision while riding his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle on Highway 3. The accident occurred just past Grapeview, as per the Washington State Patrol. Ryan Hess, a resident of Allyn, was driving a Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV and reportedly crossed the center line, resulting in a head-on collision with the motorcycle. The incident took place at around 5 p.m. According to the WSP report, the incident involved the use of alcohol or drugs.
Speers was thrown from his motorcycle due to the collision. According to the report from the WSP, the vehicle driven by Hess overturned and came to a stop in a ditch in the northbound lane.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), Speers, who was wearing a helmet, passed away at the scene. After sustaining injuries, Hess was transported to Mason General Hospital and subsequently taken into custody. Hess was then booked into Mason County Jail.
Kenneth Speers Killed in a Fatal Motorcycle Accident
At 5:06 p.m., an accident occurred on Highway 3 located west of Fair Harbor in Mason County. According to a memo released by the Washington State Patrol, a 34-year-old man from Allyn was driving in the southbound lane when he abruptly veered into the opposite side of the road. According to the memo, the victim was hit head-on by the driver, causing both the victim and their motorcycle to be thrown in separate directions. In a recent incident, the driver’s vehicle rolled over and ultimately landed in the ditch located on the northbound side.
At the scene, 35-year-old Kenneth M. Speers of Port Orchard was identified as the victim who died.
After being transported to Mason General Hospital for treatment, the suspect was booked into the county jail on a charge of vehicular homicide. According to police, the deadly collision may have been influenced by drugs or alcohol.
