Nestor Riosarvealo Car Accident: Firefighters rescue man who drove off Mascot Dock.
A man who drove his car into Patchogue Bay early on Thursday was saved by a Suffolk County police officer and a Patchogue firefighter.
Just before five in the morning, the motorist, 35-year-old Nestor Riosarvealo, crashed into the ocean off Mascot Dock at the end of South Ocean Avenue. When a witness saw the incident, they dialed 911.
In order to free Riosarvealo from the 2017 Nissan automobile, Patchogue Fire Department Member Peter Feehan and Fifth Precinct Police Officer Edward Pitre dove into the sea.
Feehan remarked, “All I saw was a person who needed help. Pitre stepped in first and has been working there for two years.
Pitre claimed, “I didn’t really notice him doing anything other than just that, was panicking at the time, he wanted to get a way to get out of there and I was trying to give him that.”
Prior to going down in the parking lot, the victim was seen on surveillance footage circling his white Nissan automobile.
