George Frazier Obituary News: Former Rockies Color Analyst and MLB Pitcher, dies at 68
Former MLB pitcher and veteran color analyst George Frazier passed away. He was 68.
From 1998 through 2015, Frazier was the Colorado Rockies’ announcer. He pitched in the Major League for ten years before making a stop in Denver, winning the 1987 World Series with the Twins.
Frazier, who was born in Oklahoma, went to Springfield’s Hillcrest High School as well.
“There’s no question that he has a lot of friends in this game. And I understand why,” said Rockies manager Bud Black.
The passing of veteran Rockies color analyst George Frazier has left us inconsolable.
George, a former MLB pitcher, was a staple and the voice of many memorable calls on Rockies broadcasts from 1998 through 2015. George Frazier was the face of Rockies baseball for a generation of fans.
