Havanah Lopez and Molly Kibler Obituary Freedom, NY Car Accident: Two killed, 4 injured in head-on crash in western New York.
In a small western New York hamlet, a guy entered the opposing lane, lost control, and collided with a car driven by his sister, killing two kids and wounding four others, according to authorities.
State police reported that Havanah S. Lopez, 17, and Molly Kibler, 6, were two of the passengers in the sister’s 2005 Ford Focus who were pronounced dead at the site of the collision on Saturday just after noon in the town of Freedom.
Dahlia J. Klink, 24, the Ford Focus’s driver, and a 4-year-old passenger were evacuated to a hospital with critical wounds.
After receiving medical attention for his wounds, her brother Evan R. Klink, 21, who was operating the 2006 Dodge Ram, was transferred to a state police station for inspection. Cameron Klink, a 19-year-old passenger in his vehicle, was evacuated to the hospital after suffering critical injuries.
If the drivers of either automobile were related to the passengers is yet unknown. On Sunday, the crash’s cause was still being investigated.
