Car Accident Carleton Place: Three killed in Tuesday afternoon head-on collision on Highway 7.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), a collision on Highway 7 Tuesday afternoon resulted in the deaths of three people.
According to a news release from the OPP on Wednesday, officers were summoned to the site around 2 p.m. between Carleton Place and Perth, west of Tatlock Road.
According to authorities, one of the involved vehicles’ 20-year-old drivers passed away at the site, while one of the 42-year-old passengers passed away in the hospital.
Later on Wednesday, police announced that a 29-year-old man who had been rushed to the hospital with serious injuries had passed away.
Two passengers in the opposing vehicle suffered critical injuries. According to authorities, the cause of the collision is still being looked into. The victims were not named.
The collision occurred roughly 7 km west of Carleton Place, 25 km up north of Perth, and 55 km south of Ottawa.
