East Bethel Car Accident: Driver dies in Thursday afternoon crash in Anoka County.
On Thursday afternoon in Anoka County, a man was killed after rear-ending a pickup truck.
Around 1:24 p.m., the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office responded to a collision in East Bethel close to the 2700 block of Viking Boulevard Northeast.
According to investigators, a pickup truck was headed east when the driver slowed it down to turn left into a parking lot. A man operating a sedan at a high rate of speed hit the truck’s back end.
The sedan’s driver was thrown from his car and passed away at the site.
The pickup truck’s occupants suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Investigation is ongoing.
