Bruce Edward Woodworth and Logan Edward Woodworth Obituary News: Authorities identify two dead in Westmoreland County plane crash.
According to Virginia State Police, a single-engine aircraft crashed into a cornfield early on Wednesday morning near the Northern Neck, killing two people.
Around 10:30 in the morning, a collision took place in Westmoreland County near Layton Landing Road.
A single-engine Vans R6 type aircraft, according to the State Police, crashed beside a driveway before catching fire. On the spot, both occupants of the plane passed away.
Logan Edward Woodworth, the pilot, was 28 years old, and Bruce Edward Woodworth, the passenger, was 57. According to State Police, both were currently residing in Wilmington, North Carolina, but had previously lived in the Northern Neck. On the ground, nobody was hurt.
The crash will be looked at by the NTSB and FAA.
