Erasmo Avila Death – Obituary News: Two juveniles arrested in fatal Corpus Christi shooting.
Erasmo Avila, 23, was shot while riding in a car through the 2700 block of Guadalupe on February 19. The Corpus Christi Medical Examiner’s Office has named him.
Two 16-year-olds were taken into custody by the Corpus Christi Police Department in connection with the shooting death of a 23-year-old man.
Detectives and patrol officers were following up on the murder that happened in the 2700 block of Guadalupe on February 21 at about 4:09 p.m.
As told, when patrol officers arrived at the scene of the murder, they saw three men there. When they saw the police, the men ran away.
Officers started chasing the teens and were able to catch three of the boys. CCPD officials said that when they looked into the crime more, they found evidence of it at the scene.
Two 16-year-old boys were caught and taken to the Nueces County Juvenile Justice Center for murder. A third man, officials said, was not charged.
